What are the career growth opportunities?

This role offers clear career progression. Starting as a security guard, you can advance into leadership positions such as Team Leader or Chief of Security based on your performance. Salaries also increase with experience, with senior roles earning up to $9,000 per month.

Do I need prior maritime experience to apply?

No prior maritime experience is required. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re fully prepared, even if it’s your first time working in this field.

What languages do I need to know?

Conversational English is mandatory, as it is the primary language used onboard ships for communication and safety instructions. Don’t hesitate to attempt the online interview, even if you have concerns about your English proficiency. If language skills become a barrier, you can reassess and reapply after three months.

Will I be able to stay fit and healthy onboard?

Yes, most ships are equipped with fitness facilities for crew members. Additionally, you’ll have free time to exercise, stay active, and maintain a healthy lifestyle during your contract.

What is the team environment like?

You will be part of a diverse team of professionals from various countries. During training, a Code of Conduct is introduced to foster teamwork, respect, and professionalism among crew members, ensuring a supportive and cooperative environment onboard.

Additionally, women who meet the criteria are welcome to join the team and are provided with separate accommodations on the ship.

Why do I need to provide documents like a passport, criminal record, military certificates, and reference letters?

These documents are required to meet global maritime security standards. A passport is essential for international travel, while a clean criminal record and military certificates validate your qualifications. Reference letters demonstrate your trustworthiness and professionalism. Collectively, these documents ensure compliance with worldwide safety regulations.

When will I know if my application is successful?

Once you submit your application, we typically review it within 2-3 business days. If you meet the qualifications, we will contact you via the email address you provide to schedule an online interview. Ensure your email is accurate and check your inbox (including spam) regularly, as delays or technical issues may occur.

Why hasn’t anyone called me after I filled out the form on the website?

Victory Vector primarily communicates with candidates and clients through email. Be sure to check your email inbox, including spam or junk folders, as synchronization issues or filters can sometimes cause messages to be misdirected. Keeping an eye on your email ensures you don’t miss important updates from us.

What are the responsibilities of a security guard?

    • Cargo Ships:
      • Patrolling and securing cargo to prevent unauthorized access.
